Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making any booking with us.

Definitions

EMR Tours: the tour operator offering trips, excursions, and other travel services in Egypt.

Customer: any natural person or legal entity entering into an agreement with EMR Tours.

Agreement: the agreement between EMR Tours and the customer relating to a booked trip or excursion.

Services: all trips, excursions, transfers, and related activities offered by EMR Tours.

Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to all offers, bookings, and agreements of EMR Tours.

By making a booking, the customer declares that they have taken note of and agree to these general terms and conditions.

Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if agreed upon in writing.

Offers and Bookings

All offers on the website or through other channels are non-binding, unless stated otherwise.

A booking is final once it has been confirmed by EMR Tours.

EMR Tours reserves the right to refuse a booking without stating reasons.

Payment

The customer must make payment according to the payment method and deadline agreed upon at the time of booking.

If payment is not made on time, EMR Tours has the right to cancel the booking.

Any additional costs during the trip (such as entrance fees or personal expenses) are at the customer's expense, unless stated otherwise.

Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellations must be submitted in writing.

In the event of cancellation, cancellation fees may be charged, depending on the time of cancellation.

Refunds are only possible if explicitly agreed upon.

Changes or Cancellation by EMR Tours

EMR Tours reserves the right to change or cancel a trip or excursion in the event of force majeure, such as weather conditions, safety risks, or unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of cancellation by EMR Tours, a suitable alternative will be offered where possible, or a refund will be provided.

Liability

Participation in trips and excursions of EMR Tours is at the customer's own risk.

EMR Tours is not liable for damage, loss, or injury unless there is intent or gross negligence.

EMR Tours is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.

Obligations of the Customer

The customer must comply with local laws and regulations and follow the instructions of guides and staff.

The customer is responsible for valid travel documents (passport, visa, insurance).

Any damage caused by the customer shall be borne by the customer.

Force Majeure

Force majeure refers to any circumstance beyond the control of EMR Tours that makes fulfillment of the agreement reasonably impossible.

In the event of force majeure, EMR Tours has the right to terminate the agreement without liability for compensation.

Complaints

Complaints must be reported in writing as soon as possible during the trip or no later than 14 days after the end of the trip.

EMR Tours will make every effort to resolve complaints as satisfactorily as possible.

Applicable Law

All agreements with EMR Tours are governed by the applicable law as agreed upon (for example, Egyptian or Dutch law).

Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court.

EMR Tours may process the following personal data: First and last name, Email address, Phone number (for example, WhatsApp), Booking details (date, excursion, number of participants), Payment information (via external payment providers), Any special requests or remarks you voluntarily provide.

We process personal data for the following purposes: Handling bookings and payments, Contacting you regarding trips or changes, Providing our services, Improving our services, Legal obligations (where applicable).

EMR Tours only shares personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the agreement (for example, guides or transport partners). We never sell your data to third parties. Appropriate agreements are made with parties that process data on our behalf.

Personal data is not retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a statutory retention period applies.

EMR Tours takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Cancellation Policy – EMR Tours

Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp.

The date on which the cancellation is received will be considered the official cancellation date.

Cancellation Fees

Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation conditions apply:

Cancellation within 48 hours before the start 100%
No-show (failure to appear without cancellation) 100%

Changes by the Customer

Changes to the date or number of participants are subject to availability.

EMR Tours reserves the right to charge any additional costs.

Cancellation or Changes by EMR Tours

EMR Tours may cancel or modify an excursion in the event of force majeure, such as weather conditions, safety reasons, or unforeseen circumstances.

In such cases, EMR Tours will offer an alternative or refund the amount already paid.

Refunds

Any refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for payment, unless otherwise agreed.

EMR Tours aims to process refunds within a reasonable timeframe.
